Local Police
Approximately fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Officers report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.
The liquid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Police then discovered numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Police state early analysis show the liquid was probably blood from a person.
"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet cognizant of any harm in association with the event," they stated.
Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for details.
A senior representative said the attack made him without words and needed to be addressed rapidly.
"This act strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right violent incident half a decade ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the murder of nine people by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
